Where we go for a walk in the woods

It was warm enough to play outside today.  We went for a walk in the woods.
 Discovering new plants.
Definitely needed boots today.  Mud, mud, mud.  Fun, fun, fun.

 Color amongst brown, brown, brown.  Does anyone know what this is called?
Spring can't come soon enough.

    Oh I love fungi. I couldn't pass up trying to identify the one you found. I believe it is Dacrymyces palmatus: http://www.messiah.edu/Oakes/fungi_on_wood/jelly%20fungi/species%20pages/Dacrymyces%20palmatus.htm The site says it is edible but I wouldn't rush out try it haha.
