After I cut the block to "disappear" the nine block into 4 smaller (and cooler looking) quilt blocks. Now, I just need to make about 1 billion more and I'll be finished.

Disappearing Act
I finished my first nine patch block for my quilt just a few minutes ago. N. James is napping with A. James, so there is no one awake to brag to. I conisdered bursting in the room with my completed quilt block, but I didn't think either of the two would be nearly as excited as I am. So, I thought I'd quickly blog and run back to the machine to make another.
After I cut the block to "disappear" the nine block into 4 smaller (and cooler looking) quilt blocks. Now, I just need to make about 1 billion more and I'll be finished.

I really like this! I'm curious, do you sew those smaller pieces together randomly or do you re-join them? That old Singer in the photo is fantastic!
